Report: Drug dealing brothers behind bars after car chase

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Authorities say two brothers accused of dealing drugs are behind bars after a car chase in Georgetown. 

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office arrested 38-year-old Brenton Lee Rutledge and 41-year-old Corey Lamont Rutledge following a car chase on Thursday. 

Agents say they recovered heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, digital scales and packaging materials. 

GCSO officials say Brenton Rutledge was arrested on warrants for trafficking crack cocaine and distribution of crack cocaine. 

"As a result of the pursuit, and heroin and crack recovered from the vehicle, Brenton Rutledge was also charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin third offense, possession with the intent to distribute crack Cocaine third offense, failure to stop for a blue light and driving under suspension third or subsequent offense. 

"His brother Corey Rutledge, a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin second offense, possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine second offense and possession of marijuana."
