Williamsburg County deputies have arrested and charged an Andrews man, Tauren Tisdale, with manslaughter in connection with the death of his brother.
Emergency officials responded to an unresponsive man at a home on the 200 block of Tad Road in Andrews on Feb. 15 around 11:00 a.m., officials say. It was later determined that man was deceased.
The Williamsburg County Coroner identified the victim as 44-year-old Jeremy Tisdale. An autopsy revealed that the probable cause of death was blunt trauma to the head.
Officers say Jeremy Tisdale and his brother, Tauren Tisdale, had a disagreement that resulted in a physical altercation at the residence.
They say Jeremy Tisdale received injuries about his head area during this incident that resulted in his death.
The suspect will appear before a Williamsburg County Magistrate for an explanation of the charge against him.
Tisdale will remain at the Williamsburg County Detention Center until a bond hearing can be scheduled.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
