CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The man charged with taping Caitlyn the dog's muzzle shut has been indicted on federal weapons charges.
William Dodson is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Dodson was arrested in June 2015 after Caitlyn was found with electrical tape wrapped around her muzzle, because Dodson said she wouldn't stop barking.
He is charged with animal cruelty in that case.
The maximum penalty Dodson can receive on the weapons charge is 10 years in jail or a maximum fine of $250,000.
