GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 49-year-old man accused of dealing drugs near an elementary school
Investigators charged Collin Todd Blythe of Georgetown with distribution of controlled substance within half mile of a school or park, possession of marijuana second-offense and distribution of schedule II substance.
Blythe was arrested on Wednesday when authorities executed a search warrant and multiple arrest warrants at a home on McDonald Road.
According to GCSO officials, Blythe was distributing drugs within half a mile of McDonald Elementary School.
The investigating began after authorities received numerous citizen complaints about increased traffic, suspicious activity and possible drug sales at a home on McDonald Road.
The sheriff's office says investigators were able to quickly establish Blythe as the dealer and obtain arrest warrants for him and a search warrant for the home.
Authorities say agents located and arrested Blythe and then conducted the search warrant at the residence.
Blythe was locked up at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
