GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office and the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement have arrested a known drug dealer.
On March 3, 2016 Agents with the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) along with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office and the Georgetown Police Department arrested Malcolm Cromedy, a significant drug dealer in Georgetown County, as part of their increased emphasis on Heroin related drug distribution.
Agents who were conducting street level surveillance operations saw Cromedy driving a vehicle and engaging in suspicious activity in Georgetown.
Cromedy, who Agents were already investigating and knew to be a suspended driver, was found in the driver's seat of a vehicle with Marijuana in his lap, a large amount of Heroin, along with a digital scale, cutting agents and packaging materials in his possession.
Cromedy is charged with two counts of Trafficking Heroin Third Offense, Distribution of Heroin Second Offense, Possession of Marijuana Second or subsequent offense, Driving Under Suspension Third Offense and being a Habitual Traffic Offender.
