The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after an apparent drunk driver hit a Charleston Police officer's car.
According to Highway Patrol, the officer was out of his car helping three people with their disabled vehicle on I-526 near the Ashley Phosphate exit at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday.
Police say that is when 29-year-old Zaquan Watson hit the officer's car, injuring two of the people from the stranded car.
Those two people along with Watson were transported to an area hospital.
The officer was unharmed.
Watson is being charged with a DUI, according to police.
