NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Fore three years, the Dream Girls Conference has been empowering and inspiring teenage girls before they become adults.
The hope and vision is to avoid and overcome problems that are too common in Urban and Rural areas of South Carolina, such as sexual and physical abuse, low self-esteem, fatherlessness, suicide, hopelessness, out-of-wedlock pregnancies, STD's, poverty and lack of education.
In 2014, Youth Empowerment Services, Inc. (Y.E.S.) sponsored the Annual Dream Girls Conference.
Join Live 5 Anchor Aisha Tyler Saturday, April 9 as she hosts this powerful event with more than 1,200 girls in attendance both years. Attendees have come from 60 cities across South Carolina as well as other states.
These events are specifically designed for middle and high school girls to empower them with strategies and resources to help them make wise decisions, enhancing their mental, social, spiritual, physical and emotional well-being.
