Deputies: Man wanted in S.C. killing captured in Pennsylvania

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - Authorities in Pennsylvania arrested a man wanted by the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting.

Anthony McKennie, 30, who is also known as Anthony Newman, faces a murder charge in the March 4 incident, according to Orangeburg County Sheriff's spokesman Richard Walker.

U.S. Marshals and members of the Eastern Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force arrested McKinnie in a duplex in a residential area of Philadelphia after OCSO investigators learned the Pennsylvania native had relatives in that area, Walker said. McKennie was then taken into custody without incident by Marshals and EPFTF officers.

"Individuals committing heinous crimes such as this find the world isn't big enough for them to hide when we're after them," Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. "It can be a very small world."

Witnesses told investigators McKennie entered a St. Ann residence on March 4 and argued with Theodio Isaiah Glenn, 27, and said McKennie fatally shot Glenn.

The Orangeburg Sheriff's Office is now beginning the extradition process, Walker said.
