Sunday is Live 5 Day at 'Phantom of the Opera'

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Sunday is Live 5 day at Phantom of the Opera.

There are two shows and the North Charleston Performing Arts Center scheduled at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Cameron Mackintosh's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera is based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L'Opéra by Gaston Leroux,

The production tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her talents and employing all of the devious methods at his command.

The musical recently celebrated its 27th year on Broadway.

Tickets are $49 courtesy of Live 5. The first 10 rows are full price but the rest of the seats are at the discounted price.
