DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - One of two men charged in a Dorchester County double murder faced a judge Thursday to request a reduction of bond.
Delani Franklin Simmons is accused in the shooting deaths of 19-year-old Ernest Richmond and 21-year-old Shaquille Sanders, both of Summerville, who died after a fight broke out in the Greenhurst Subdivision on Dec. 15, 2014.
Sanders died that night at Summerville Medical Center while Richmond was pronounced dead early the following morning at Trident Medical Center. Two others were also wounded.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the judge took the request under advisement, but no decision on reducing bond has been made, according to Dorchester County Sheriff's Capt. Tony Phinney.
