FOLLY BEACH, SC (WCSC) - Hundreds of people gathered on Folly yesterday for the Warrior Surf Oyster Roast and Fundraiser.
The event benefited the Warrior Surf Foundation, a program that aims to help wounded servicemen through surfing.
They also use surfing to help the family members of wounded military members bond.
The rainy weather didn't seem to bother the majority of the crowd.
"We've had close to 200 people come out tonight but a little rain has never hurt a Lowcountry oyster roast," said Tyler Crowter with the Warrior Surf Foundation.
The group puts on dozens of fundraisers every year.
This was their end of the season oyster roast, but if you would like to donate to the group just check out the Warrior Surf Foundation Facebook page here.
