CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County is about to begin more than a month of aerial spraying for mosquitoes.
Six months after historic flooding, the ground is still soggy in many places around the Lowcountry. This is creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Charleston County Mosquito Control will be aerially inspecting and spraying standing water for aquatic stage mosquitoes for the five weeks.
The spraying will occur between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. from March 29, 2016 through May 4, 2016. During these times, residents may see low-flying aircraft in the area.
