HOLLYWOOD, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies are investigating an armed robbery in Hollywood that left two victims, one of them just 11 years old, after the child struck the robber.
Deputies responded at approximately 9:45 p.m. Sunday to a reported armed robbery at a Hollywood Chinese restaurant.
One of the employees told deputies a man wearing a black hoodie came into the restaurant with a gun and tried to rob them.
An 11-year-old boy struck the gunman with an object and the gunman shot a second victim, an adult, in the left forearm and left hip. The gunman then struck the boy in the head with the gun and fled the scene, the incident report states.
EMS transported the two victims to an area hospital for treatment, deputies say.
