Orangeburg deputies searching for burglary suspect

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - Orangeburg County deputies are looking for a 28-year-old Berkeley County man accused of breaking into an Orangeburg home.

Kevin Michael McNown, of Bonneau, is wanted on a charge of first-degree burglary, according to Orangeburg County Sheriff's spokesman Richard Walker.

Deputies say a Grambling Road man reported a break-in at his home on March 29 and said a .270 caliber rifle had been stolen.

Investigators said calls from community members helped identify McNown as the suspect, and said he is also a suspect in other burglaries around the Midlands.

Anyone with information on McNown's whereabouts is asked to call the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office at (803) 534-3550 or CrimeStoppers at (888) CRIME-SC.
