BCSO major rescues pit bull family from highway traffic

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says a major with the department rescued a pit bull and her pups from highway traffic on Monday. 

A Facebook post stated Major Brabham was driving on Highway 17-A in Moncks Corner when he saw a puppy dart out into the road. 

"After turning around and getting out with them, they were kept out of traffic while Animal Control was responding," BCSO officials said. 

According to the sheriff's office, While waiting, the puppies and their mother drank a bottle of water out of the major's hands. 

"The work of law enforcement never ends," BCSO officials said.
