BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities arrested 51 people during a two-day crime sweep in Berkeley County.
Officials with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office say the operation was held Thursday and Friday in two different areas of the county.
The charges ranged from possession of drugs, drug trafficking, failure to stop for blue lights, attempted murder and burglary.
"Working together with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners, we are making an impact in the communities throughout Berkeley County. Together, we are making a difference," Sheriff Duane Lewis said.
The following departments worked with the sheriff's office in the operation: Moncks Corner Police Department, Goose Creek Police Department, Hanahan Police Department, Bonneau Police Department, South Carolina Probation & Parole, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, SLED, the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the United States Marshall's Service.
