MURRELLS INLET, SC (WCSC) - A Marion man is facing charges for an armed robbery that took place last month.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has charged 18 year old Barrett Hayes Coker of 914 Carroll Road in Marion, South Carolina with the armed robbery that took place at a local Subway Restaurant in March.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office responded to the Subway located at 3944 Hwy 17 bypass in Murrells Inlet around 6:00 pm on March 19, 2016 for an armed robbery.
Two suspects armed with bats wearing masks and clothes had walked into the Subway.
The suspects then attempted to steal money as the employees fled out the rear of the restaurant and called 911.
The suspects fled the scene in a small tan in color 4-door sedan.
After an extensive investigation, Barrett Hayes Coker has been identified as one of the suspects in the armed robbery of the Subway Restaurant.
Coker is charged with one count of Armed Robbery.
Coker was served the warrant at the Georgetown County Detention Center where he is being housed for charges unrelated to this incident.
