NORTH CHARLESTON - (WCSC) -

Police say the man wanted in connection with a shooting Saturday afternoon in North Charleston is still at large.

On Sunday, North Charleston Police say they are looking for Derrick Lamar Porter in connection with the shooting that took place in a parking lot in the 2000 block of McMillian Avenue.

Porter is from the Hollywood area but has been known to spend time around Pine Ridge Circle in North Charleston.

Authorities say Porter should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police responded to the parking lot where they found a man in his car with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition.

Anyone with information on Porter's whereabouts should contact the North Charleston Police Department at (843) 554-5700 or call CrimeStoppers at (843) 554-1111.
