BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A Berkeley County fugitive wanted on child sex charges was located in North Carolina.
Detectives with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and the US Marshals task force arrested Freeman Ingram on Monday in Gastonia.
According to the sheriff's office, Ingram has been on the run since 2012.
He's wanted for charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor 11 to 14 years of age, two counts of unlawful neglect of a child, criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years old first degree and lewd act on a child under 16 years of age.
"Ingram is currently being held in the Gaston County Jail in North Carolina pending Extradition back to South Carolina," BCSO officials said.
