CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police arrested a 59-year-old man in connection with an April 15 burglary and are trying to determine whether that crime is linked to six others.

Antonio Dilligard is charged with second degree burglary and property crime enhancement in the burglary of a Cannon Street home, according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis.

Police are still investigating a series of six burglaries reported between April 9 and April 17 in the same area, including homes on Smith, Duncan, Coming and Vanderhorst Streets, and are actively trying to determine whether those burglaries are related to the single incident of which Dilligard is accused, he said.

Of the seven burglaries, six occurred at homes that were unlocked, police say.

Jail records indicate bond was set at $75,000 for the burglary charge and $30,000 for the property crime enhancement charge.
