SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Road closures are expected in Summerville Tuesday through Thursday as Norfolk Southern Railroad replaces three separate road crossings and removes a tree.

Cedar Street will be closed between Doty and Luke avenues Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the release from town officials.

Owens Drive will be closed between Lincolnville Road  and Railroad Avenue Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

West Richardson Avenue was closed between Hwy 78 and Maple Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday as crews replaced a railroad crossing.

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., West Carolina Avenue was closed to traffic between Central Avenue and Beaufort Street, and Cuthbert Lane will be closed from Beaufort Street to West Carolina Avenue as crews remove a tree.
