CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday released dashcam video of a chase with a suspect that ended in a crash near his Berkeley County home.
Court records show Andrew Kluczinsky has been arrested at least 20 times in the Charleston area.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office says a deputy randomly checked the plate of the car Kluczinsky was driving on Rivers Avenue early Monday morning, and that is when he discovered it had been stolen in Berkeley County.
The deputy waited for backup before turning on his blue lights.The video shows the chase continued onto I-26.
Speeds went over 100 miles per hour, according to the sheriff's office.
The video shows Kluczinsky exiting the interstate on Jedburg Road.
At Highway 78, the video shows Kluczinsky running over stop sticks, flattening one of his rear tires but he keeps on going.
The video shows the suspect driving on the wrong side of the roads, nearly hitting other vehicles.
Kluczinsky continues to drive on the wrong side of the road and nearly hits more cars.
The video then shows the suspect running a red light, then turning down a dirt road leading to his house. It is there where deputies say Kluczinsky hits a tree.
The video shows him in the back seat of a cruiser.
According to court records, at the time of the chase, Kluczinsky was out on bond in Dorchester County on drug and shoplifting charges.
After the chase, Charleston County deputies charged him with possessing a stolen vehicle, failure to stop for blue lights and driving under suspension third offense.
