CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Two local agencies are hiring young people for summer employment.
The National Park Service is also hiring teenagers to work at Fort Sumter over the summer months. Four positions are available to selected teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18. Other restrictions apply. Applications can be requested through firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to apply has been extended to 3:30pm on May 13.
Charleston County is accepting applications for its Summer Youth Employment Program until May 18. The program allows participants to gain experience in the workplace, and learn about county government operations. Charleston County residents between the ages of 16 and 22 are encouraged to apply at http://www.charlestoncounty.org/syep/application.php. All applicants must also be enrolled in high school or college.
