The turtles — Boyles, Discovery, Reece, Chaz, and Quincy — were at their lowest when rescued, according to the aquarium.
One was even blind, according to officials.
"After months of love and constant care, they are now better than ever, and ready to return to their natural habitats," officials said.
The turtle release took place at the Isle of Palms County Park.
This will be the 187th threatened and endangered sea turtle rehabilitated and liberation to date, according to the statement.
