Cyclists race the streets at annual Park Circle criterium

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Cyclists will be racing the streets of Park Circle and North Charleston's Olde Village for the third annual CCA criterium races.

The Bike Law CCA Regional Criterium Championships at Park Circle hosted by Lowcountry Racing and Brown-Glaws Contractors will be on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22. The Carolinas Cycling Association criterium will include professional and amateur cyclists competing in 22 scheduled races over the two days. Races are scheduled from 8 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. both days.

The street races in the Olde Village will cover a different course each day. Saturday's race course will be a loop including East Montague Avenue between Virginia and Jenkins Avenues. Sunday's race will feature a loop starting at the duck pond on Buist Avenue. Traffic in the areas of the race course will be closed all day.
