CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The tragic shooting deaths in Ravenel prompt a lot of questions.
What motivated 23-year-old Kenneth Lamar Ancrum to allegedly shoot and kill two women, a young girl and two unborn twin babies?
Deputies, whose bravery and courage saved even more lives, say it was the result of domestic violence...something Ancrum was no stranger to. Investigators say he has a history of domestic violence.
Our state has one of the highest rates of women who die at the hands of men.
Last year, the legislature passed a law hoping to reverse that trend. Let's hope it does...and soon.
