SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for anyone with information on a burglary that happened in the Cane Bay neighborhood May 19.
Major Jeremy Baker with the Sheriff's Office said they have only received one tip about the break-in.
"We thought we'd have this case solved within a few hours," he said Tuesday, citing the amount of video surveillance available.
The Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
Authorities say they responded to a burglary that had taken place on Iveson Road in the Cane Bay community Thursday morning.
Surveillance video shows a man walking up to the door at 11:09 a.m.
The homeowner says it was a joint operation between two men, who were caught on surveillance video inside and outside of the home.
"He had a sales pen like he was a salesperson," said Erin Norris, of Summerville. "[He] knocked on the door a couple times. Nobody answered. He looked around, looked right at the camera right here, and then you see him ducking and looking through the window."
According to reports, Norris arrived home and noticed that the gate to her back yard was open. Upon entering her home, she noticed the back door had been shattered.
An incident report states the suspects got away with earrings, a diamond necklace, and a silver wedding band.
Anyone with information on the two men are asked to contact the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at (843) 719-4465.
