NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A motion filed on behalf of Michael Slager Thursday asks for evidence his attorneys say they requested on 13 different occasions since April 2015, but have not received.
The former North Charleston police officer is charged in the shooting death of 50-year-old Walter Scott at a traffic stop on Remount Road.
Further, the motion specifically requests documents on the city of North Charleston's internal investigation that lead officials to reach a $6.5 million settlement with the family of Walter Scott.
Slager's Attorneys also ask for all documents made by agencies investigating the incident that lead to a statement made by the defense at a hearing in September.
His attorneys would also like all records of the assignments given to two other officers that responded to the scene of the Walter Scott shooting.
