Seventeen Boeing employees turned themselves in to South Carolina Department Investigators of Revenue Tuesday after evading state income taxes, officials say.
According to a statement from the SCDOR, the suspects submitted fraudulent W-4 forms to their employer, claiming to be exempt from South Carolina income taxes.

"With total earnings over $3.78 million, the individuals collectively evaded paying over $157,000 in individual income taxes to the state of South Carolina," the statement reads.
The following defendants are being held at The Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center, according to the SCDOR:
The SCDOR says if convicted, the defendants face up to $10,000 in fines and/or up to 5 years in prison per charge.
