Temporary lane closures are expected on I-26 as crews work on the interstate.
According to the press release from Banks Construction, there will be lane closures in both directions on I-26 in Berkeley County from mile marker 198 to mile marker 196 June 5 through June 30.
The lanes are expected to close at 9 p.m. each day and will open back up on or before 6 a.m. the next day.
One lane on each side of the interstate will remain open to traffic.
Those traveling near the project's construction zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crew members working in the area. Banks Construction asks that drivers comply with traffic control signs, reductions in speed limits and message board information.
Plans for roadwork can change depending on the weather, the press release states.
