CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The fast food employee is wanted by Charleston police in connection with damage to a customer's vehicle following a verbal altercation is in custody.
Police say Shannon Wigfall, 26, threw a rock at a female customer's car after she and the customer argued. She was wanted for damage to personal property, police spokesman Charles Francis said. Francis said she was in custody as of Thursday.
According to an incident report, the victim drove up to the drive-thru of a Cherry Street fast food restaurant on May 11 to place an order, but no one attempted to wait on her. The victim said she honked the horn to get a worker's attention and said Wigfall, who was identified by a manager, came to the window "with an attitude," the incident report states.
The victim told police she and Wigfall began arguing, then the victim said she drove forward into the parking lot to take her medication and leave the argument behind.
Police say while the victim was taking her medication, Wigfall walked outside the restaurant to continue the argument. When the victim was driving away, Wigfall threw a rock at her car, striking the rear driver's side of the vehicle, the victim told police.
Police say the rock caused a small dent, approximately $100 in damage.
