ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say they have taken two Orangeburg men into custody after a residence was shot at resulting in a car chase early Saturday.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said that deputies were notified of shots fired in a residential area around 1 a.m.
When deputies arrived, witnesses saw Javall Curry get into an argument over a woman.
They said both Curry and Christian Asher left the Presidential Drive apartment area, but returned moments later.
Witnesses say gunshots then began peppering the residence.
When deputies attempted to stop the blue Chevrolet said to be driven by the men attempting to leave the scene, the vehicle sped up St. Matthews Road toward I-26.
The driver of the Chevrolet lost control of the vehicle when attempting to make a turn onto Landfill Road.

Javall Curry, 24, and Christian Asher, 23, have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a stolen handgun. Asher was further charged with failure to stop for a blue light and driving under suspension.
Bond was denied on each of the men during a hearing Sunday morning.
