Police investigating pair of robberies in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Police are investigating a pair of armed robberies that took place in North Charleston.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m. Officers responded to the Stop and Go Convenience Store in the 5800 block of Dorchester Rd in reference to a Robbery.

According to the clerk, two unknown black males with their faces covered entered the store armed with a hand gun demanding money.

They fled the store with an undetermined amount of money.

The only description the clerk could give was one subject was tall and the other one was short.

Police then responded to a second armed robbery shortly after 2 a.m.

According to authorities, a male entered the Sunnoco Gas Station in the 5700 block of Rivers Ave and stole about 30 packs of cigarettes.

No weapon was produced and the suspect fled the business.

The suspect was described as being a Hispanic male in his 30's wearing tan pants and an orange shirt.

Both incidents are still under investigation.
