CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Lawyers for Joey Meek are asking for his federal sentencing hearing to be delayed.
Meek has pleaded guilty to knowing about the Charleston Church shooting and lying to authorities about it.
Meek's attorneys are asking for the reason for his request for delay to be kept private, but the documents filed say it is pertaining to Meek's personal medical information.
A judge has ordered the government to respond to his request by no later than Tuesday.
No sentencing date has been set.
