Coroner identifies man killed in North Charleston shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a man who was killed in a shooting this past weekend.

Authorities say 30-year-old Antwan Johnson was the victim of a homicide shooting Sunday afternoon.

North Charleston police responded to a home in the 3000 block of Terry Drive at approximately 3 p.m. to find a man suffering gunshot wounds in a back bedroom, according to an incident report.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

A witness told police he had been tied up in another room when he heard the gunman ask the victim "why'd you kill my dog in the Macon [neighborhood]?"

The witness said he then heard several gunshots.

The investigation is ongoing.
