CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Charleston Police Fund say they will soon roll out a strategic plan to bridge the gap between police and the community.
The strategic plan was built on recommendations from over 700 listening sessions and community forums held over the past ten months.
Once released, the plan will be presented to get the community's feedback.
City leaders and community activists say Wednesday's announcement was necessary following recent tragedies nationwide.
Police Fund officials say they will have an official plan set for Charleston City Council and Mayor Tecklenburg in October.
