DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Dorchester County deputies are searching for a man they say is missing and may be endangered.

Marc Godwin Saunders, 61, was last seen on July 1 in the Ridgeville area walking down Thomason Road.

Authorities say he does not have access to a vehicle.

His family told deputies they found his eyeglasses at a home in Summerville where Saunders lived with his father at one time, so Saunders may not be wearing glasses now.

Deputies say Saunders has also been seen at the Westover Apartments on Palmetto Park Road in West Ashley.

Saunders' family says he was recently hospitalized, but was released on July 1. They have tried to reach him on his cell phone but has been unable to make contact with him.

Saunders has gray hair and blue eyes, is 5-foot-8-inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing jeans and a blue scrub shirt.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office at (843) 873-5111 or Det. Sgt. Rick Carson at (843) 200-5722.
