NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police arrested a female suspect in connection with Wednesday's robbery of a Rivers Avenue credit union.
Porche Washington of Charleston was arrested and charged with entering a financial institution with the intent to steal, North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor said.

Police responded to the Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union on Rivers Avenue on a report of a bank robbery shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday. Police say Washington entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was involved, Pryor said.
The teller complied with the demand and the suspect exited the bank with an undetermined amount of money.
Washington was located at her home and taken into custody without incident, Pryor said.
She was being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center pending a bond hearing on Saturday.
