Deputies arrest Lowcountry fugitive who boasted on Facebook he couldn't be caught

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The man wanted by multiple Lowcountry investigators boasted on Facebook that he cannot be caught is in custody, Berkeley County deputies say.

Brandon Varner was taken into custody Friday, according to Berkeley County Chief Dep. Mike Cochran.

Varner, who is suspected of stealing a Yamaha Rhino from a home in the Windwood area, was wanted by four agencies including the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.

The Rhino has since been been recovered, authorities say.

Berkeley County officials said Varner was also wanted by  Probation & Parole for a probation violation, by the Goose Creek Police Department for trespassing, by the Moncks Corner Police Department for shoplifting.

A report by the sheriff's office stated Varner knew that he was wanted, had been staying near the College Park area and had been posting to Facebook how he cannot be caught.

A Facebook post, provided by the sheriff's office, shows a message by Varner stating "love yall but iknow thay cany cach me."
