NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - According to the North Charleston Police department one person was killed, and another shot during a home invasion on Friday night.

It happened in the 1800 block of Leland street around 10:00 p.m.

According to the report Byron Rivers, and Stacy Green Jr. forced themselves into a home.

Once inside the 38-year-old victim attempted to fight back. During the struggle the victim was shot and killed, and Rivers was also shot.

Both Rivers and Green then ran from the residence, and were chased by residents of the house, and those who lived near by.

The group chasing the suspects managed to apprehend Rivers until police arrived, Green was later arrested by Police.

Green is charged with 6 counts of Armed Robbery, 2 counts of Attempted Murder, Murder, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a violent Crime.

Green was denied bond on all charges, except the Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime Charge.

Rivers is currently hospitalized at MUSC and will be charged upon his release.

The name of the murder victim has not yet been released.
