BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A Hanahan man has been sentenced to prison after over 10,000 sexual pictures and videos of children were found on his computer and external hard drive.

Officials say Jason Blair has been sentenced to seven consecutive years. He plead guilty to ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on July 14.

An investigation was started in 2013 after detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce found child pornography Blair allegedly uploaded to a file sharing website.

When executing a search warrant at his rental on Dickson Drive, investigators found over 10,000 sexual pictures and videos of children, many of which appeared to have been taken by hidden cameras in dressing rooms and stores like Target.

He also had pictures of children at playgrounds, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.

Blair forfeited his computer and hidden camera to authorities and will be required to register as a sex offender when released.

"We are glad to see that justice has been served in this case," said Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis.  "We have a detective assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce for just this reason. The Internet is full of dangers and we must continue to do everything that we can to protect people from the criminal element that seeks to exploit defenseless children."
