CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified the man killed during a home invasion.

Officials say Kirby Fyall, 38, was shot Friday, July 15 after two men forced themselves into an apartment on Leland Street in North Charleston, trying to rob the people inside.

According to a report, suspects Byron Rivers and Stacy Green, Jr. later ran from the apartment and were chased by people that lived there, along with neighbors.

Rivers was also shot in the incident. The group managed to apprehend him until police arrived, and Green was later arrested by police.

Rivers was charged with murder after being taken to the hospital.

Green was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, six counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
