Recall of P.F. Chang's frozen foods expands

WASHINGTON, DC (WCSC) - The manufacturer of P.F. Chang's Home Menu Brand products expanded a recall of its frozen products because of a potential for small metal fragments in the sugar used in the sauce.

The expansion adds two manufacturing lots of the products to the list of recalled items, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The voluntary action is being taken because of sugar used in the product is impacted by a recall.

Foodborne foreign objects that are not hard and sharp and less than or equal to seven millimeters in length may cause minor injuries such as temporary reflexive choking and irritation of the gastrointestinal system, the FDA's website states.
