JAMESTOWN, SC (WCSC) - The town of James Island is having a public hearing on the establishment of a storm water management fee and revisions to the tree protection and preservation section of the Town's Zoning and Land Use Plan.
The hearing will be on Thursday at 7 p.m. at James Island Town Hall.
Other topics that will be discussed include a proposed resolution for the town to oppose a mixed-use development project on Folly Road called "The Lively," consideration of a sidewalk for Seaside Lane, a portion of Folly Road and Lighthouse Boulevard, and appointments to the Town's planning commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.
Officials with James Island Town Council are inviting residents to speak on any matter that interests them during time allotted for public comment. Those wanting to speak need to sign up prior to 6:50 p.m., according to a news release.
