CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A Live 5 News phone bank generated new tips into the disappearance and murder of Brittanee Drexel, authorities said Thursday.
Drexel was last seen alive leaving a Myrtle Beach hotel seven years ago.
Detectives from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office say more than 20 tips were called in to the phone bank on July 14.
Authorities say the most interesting tips were called in from Georgetown, McClellanvile and North Charleston.
Those are the three places the FBI says Drexel was held captive before she was killed.
The sheriff's office is sharing the information from the tips with the FBI and Myrtle Beach Police.
We were the first to report that according to the attorney representing Drexel's mom, a suspect or suspects have been identified.
