EUTAWVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Orangeburg County deputies have named the fifth person wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Eutawville on Tuesday.
Deputies are searching for 24-year-old Dwendell Lamont High, of Summerville on a warrant for failure to stop for a blue light, Orangeburg County Sheriff's spokesman Richard Walker said.
Deputies say High is believed to be the driver of a vehicle transporting four others who have been charged with murder in the shooting that left a 46-year-old woman dead.
Investigators were given a description of the vehicle involved in the shooting and located a vehicle matching the description near Holly Hill, Walker said. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but it sped away and eventually crashed on Salisbury Road east of Holly Hill.
Four others, Za'Quan Markel Taste, 18; Treshawn Markeese Jenkins, 22; Matthew Kamin Brown, 20; and Frank Jemerrl Jarzman Smoot, 20, are each facing a murder charge related to the shooting, deputies say.
High is not charged with murder in the case, Walker said.
Authorities have not as yet released a photo or description of High.
Anyone with information on High's whereabouts is asked to call the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office at (803) 534-3550 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
