Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff's office have arrested a suspect believed to be responsible for a home invasion and attempted murder.
The incident took place on Johns Island.;
Authorities say Carlton Lamond Solomon is charged with attempted murder, burglary, and kidnapping.
Solomon was captured after he was riding in a vehicle that was pulled over for having a light out.
An incident report provided by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office states that on July 23rd, a man kicked in the door of a home on Gibbs Road on Johns Island, asked "where's the money" and then shot a man at the home in the chest.
The affidavit states Solomon shot at the victim a second time while he was on the floor and narrowly missed his head.
