Charleston investigators arrest two teens for downtown armed robbery

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston investigators have arrested two teenagers accused of an armed robbery in downtown.

Zyshawn Major, 16, and San'tawn Stanley, 17, face charges of armed robbery, according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis.

Major will be charged as an adult, Francis said.

Police responded at approximately 10:08 p.m. on June 6 to the corner of Cannon and Smith Streets in downtown Charleston in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred there, according to an incident report.

Items listed as having been stolen included two iPhone 6 devices valued at $800 each, a pocketbook valued at $200, and credit cards, the report states.
