GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - A portion of Redbank Road has reopened to traffic after an incident involving a large truck that knocked down power lines.
Crews had been working to repair three damaged utility poles after the incident left 1,000 people without power.
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety reported Redbank Road had been closed between Harbor Lake Drive and Crawford Road because of downed power lines.
Three poles were damaged by a large truck and had to be replaced, according to Berkeley County Electric Co-Op spokesman Micah Ponce.
It was not immediately clear whether power had been fully restored in the area.
