BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies say a brief standoff has ended and a suspect is in custody.

A man who fled from deputies on foot and ran into the garage of a home on Miami Street near College Park Road surrendered to deputies, according to Berkeley County Chief Deputy Mike Cochran.

Deputies say Hadrian Jameson, 26, had an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault and was transported to the county jail, Cochran said.

Cochran earlier said deputies had reason to believe the man who ran into the home was armed and said he was refusing to come out of the house.

Jameson was holed up in the homeowner's garage before being coaxed out by a relative, deputies say.

Cochran said deputies were trying to arrest two men when one of them fled.
